Top down bottom up shades adjust coverage from either direction, making it easier to balance daylight, privacy, and room atmosphere. Lowering the shade from the top admits light above eye level while covering the lower window. Raising it from the bottom opens the view. Graywind offers motorized cellular and Roman versions with cordless profiles, remote operation, compatible smart controls, and optional solar charging. Cellular shades focus on insulation and a pleated finish, while Roman shades add soft fabric folds and a classic appearance.
Flexible Light and Privacy for Different Moments
Unlike conventional shades that move in one direction, top down bottom up shades can lower from the top, rise from the bottom, or cover the full window. This flexibility supports privacy without blocking all natural light. It can also provide greater coverage for a movie or open the window for an afternoon of reading.
The cordless design removes accessible operating cords, making the shades practical for homes with children and pets. Graywind provides installation instructions and the necessary mounting hardware. Accurate measurements and suitable mounting depth remain essential, so review the measuring guide before ordering.
Smart Control and Solar-Assisted Charging
Motorized top down bottom up shades can be controlled by remote. App, voice, timer, and group functions depend on the chosen motor, hub, and accessories. Current product configurations support Alexa and Google Home with the required compatible setup. Review the Smart Control Guide to confirm which controls are available.
Motorization makes the shades easier to adjust on large or difficult-to-reach windows. The rechargeable motor uses the supplied USB cable, while an optional solar panel provides supplemental charging from natural light. Solar charging can reduce manual charging frequency but does not guarantee that USB charging will never be needed.
