Graywind Motorized Outdoor Shades

I hung these on my outdoor balcony inside option with the trim facing out. This leaves the inner brackets with the extra holes highly visible towards the sitting area. Is there some kind of covering for these 2 brackets?
Nice shade, but these brackets stick out like a sore thumb.
Please let me know if you have anything that will cover them.

We even had one window that needed some extra understanding to make sure of the fit. Iris and Bella emailed us faithfully and were able to get us just exactly what worked. I installed these shades to block the morning sun from hitting my kitchen window. This is perfect. It keeps my kitchen much cooler now. I control these using the remote from inside. You can set positions for how much it should go down or up when you click the remote. I have not used Alexa for it yet.

They were very patient with me on the measurements. Please do note that in both dimensions you need to add about 3 inches.
The packagingʻ and quality of the product is top notch. The little solar panel works well.
The only thing to make it perfect would be if the bottom fixing for the guides had more adjustment. Buildings in the uk are not made to an accuracy of 1 or 2mm. My window sill on one side was 8mm below the other side

Really pleased with the build quality of the the outdoor blind And it met our custom specifications perfectly. The installation was straightforward and setup and operation went smoothly.
The only issue is that being 2.2 x 2 metres the bling acts like a sail when it is windy. It would help if there was some kind of horizontal support per metre of drop

Good day, the blind largely meets my expectations. Contact with the order hotline regarding the discrepancies in dimensions was excellent. The technical hotline, which I contacted because the bottom rail didn't align with the position of the cord bracket on the upper bracket, was easily reachable and tried to understand the problem and offer some suggestions for a solution. However, these were unsuccessful. In my opinion, only the delivery of a correctly fitting bottom rail could solve the problem. I have now modified the drill holes on the upper bracket myself in order to be able to use the blind at all in a timely manner. This discrepancy is now leading me to consider purchasing the blinds for the other eight windows of my house from a different supplier, as I fear encountering the same problem with the other blinds.

Bought two, thinking about getting more, these are the best value out there. Good quality, price and were delivered quickly.

Ordered two sun shades for our patio. After some communications to assure they were exactly what I wanted and that I measured correctly, I placed and order for two shades with the solar panel recharge units. They arrived within two weeks. I installed them myself and the install was much easier than I even imagined. I caould not be happier with my purchase.

Shade for my outdoor patio

If you want a quality, solar powered screen to keep the light out, this is the one. Super easy to install. The solar is reliable. And if you get the black one, it really makes it dark. We’ve had it for over a year and it’s still going strong. Will probably get more of these. The only issue is that my roof line and access to the sun required me to buy and additional cable and adapter.

I have now purchased three Graywind shades. I have been consistently impressed with the design and the amount of thought that has gone into every detail.
The packaging(!) is a Work of Art - and it works! The last order I received had a seriously mangled box. Nothing in the box was harmed, at all! Someone needs to film an unboxing video for their Graywind shades, because I can't express how well done and amazing it really is in words! A Bento Box for your delivery hints at it, but doesn't get to the awesome heart of the box!
The Install is easy! The details - like screw covers - are great! And the mounting hardware are robust (the metal in the brackets is 1/8 inch thick!). And the mounting is flexible - which great in a house where nothing is square, flat, or plumb!
Oh, yeah, they also work - the shades provide . . . shade. And, given the quality of design, crafting, and materials I expect that shade will be there for years to come!

Purchased these exterior smart shades for the large front windows of our Sierra Mountain home. With a southern facing exposure, the morning sun shines directly into the windows on the left side of our living room and as the day goes by, the afternoon sun shines in the right side living room windows. I was concerned that the UV rays of the sun would damage our flooring and furniture. After reading about these shades, I decided to give them a try and WOW, I'm so glad I did!. We ordered the black color knowing this would allow us to see the beautiful vistas clearly through the shades when they were down. The shades are extremely well made and work beautifully. You can program them to automatically roll down and up at specific times which is totally awesome. We have been using ours daily for the past 3 months without so much as a hick-up. They filter the light beautifully and roll up and down smoothly. I love how the remote allows you to give the shades a little "bump" to completely tighten them when they are down, creating a flawlessly smooth, tight surface. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. They were shipped from China (I was a bit skeptical about what the quality would be like in the beginning) and they arrived swiftly, it only took 5 days and they were at our door! Easy enough for my husband to install (he's a General Contractor) and they look neat and clean on the outside. As I mentioned previously, they are really well made, really nice quality and work like a charm! We have the solar panels on the top to keep them charged and you can easily see the little blue light on the side of the housing, letting you know that all is well. They do come with a USB cord to charge if need be, but so far the solar panel has kept them fully charged. Don't hesitate to give these a try, you won't be disappointed!

The blinds are fantastic and exactly as described. They were easy to install, although I ended up installing them incorrectly (had to rotate them 90 degrees). At first, I thought it was missing a front panel, however their support is fantastic and quickly resolved the issue.

I ended up going with the zigbee motor, which I was successfully able to connect to Home Assistant with ease.

Its also worth noting, you are able to adjust the end position, so its worth ordering a 1/2 inch or so longer blind and setting the stop position to the exact position once installed.

I just installed the shades a few days ago. It has been soooo windy here I have yet to lower and use the shades.

I like this product, but am looking for something that would prevent rain from entering my patio more than 12 inches. Will this product perform like this.

I am planning on plugging these into an outdoor outlet. How much power do these draw or required to operate?

Had a lot of issues with this at first, but the customer service was really good. Sometimes you get a lemon, and they stood behind what they sold me. Hopefully the replacement is as good as thier rep.

Ordered 2 ceiling mounted 84inch blinds for outside patio to block afternoon sun. Both blinds were received earlier than expected and well packaged. Very easy to install, got both to work together with a single remote and Alexa integration process was well documented and straightforward. Did not purchase solar panel, instead used supplied usb cables with personal 5volt 2.1amp charger for each (old iphone chargers).

The 3% Opacity/sun blockage was just right for us, no more squinting on the deck in the afternoon:)
I sent the seller 2 questions, both responses received within 24 hours. First was related to the phone app referenced in the installation manual which I could not get to work. It seems the phone app requires a "Graywind Hub" that needs to be purchased separately. The purchased single remote and Alexa was sufficient control so will not be purchasing.

I did have an issue with disabling the remote on 1 blind while trying to get the blind to pair with phone app. 2nd email to Graywind resolved this issue quickly. There is a non-documented procedure to pair blind with remote that worked. Below is what worked for us, apparently this is motor specific so if it happens to you and procedure below does not work then email Graywind (they need your Amazon order number to send correct procedure)

From Graywind to re-pair remote with blind
"1.Reset the motor: Press and hold the reset button on the side of the motor until the motor jogs four times.
2.Connect the motor with the remote: (1) Press and hold the reset button on the motor until the motor jogs once. (2) Choose a channel. (3) Press the P button on the back side of the remote and the motor will jog twice."

When placing the order expect an email via Amazon from seller within a day confirming dimensions before completing order. NOTE - this is the only opportunity to change side of blind usb plugs into (motor side) as default is right side and this configuration option is not available when placing initial order online.

After pricing locally and with other vendors ended up spending less than half the price on essentially the same blind. Overall happy with purchase, had a couple of issues post install that were quickly resolved by the vendor hence the 5 star rating.
